Victor Kolberg as X'ils Krogsiadt, who precipitates the big moments in the play, gave the lines with spirit as the unprincipled, scheming individual who claimed his prey without flinching. This is one of the best thing Mr. Kolberg has done during: the season.

In Dr. Rank, a family friend, R. W. Anderson brought into the story likeable character in many respects. Mr.

Anderson played the part conservatively, but with care, and his work deserves a word of praise. Anna, the nurse, played by Angela Marshall and Kllen, the maid, played by Mrs. Merle Peabody were minor parts, but due to the regard each had for their relation to the whole won approval. as ivar and Bobby the children or iora and Torvald, Perry Chisum and Victor Kolberg the seecond, scored a real success. Although their lines were few they were said clear- jy nn naturaiiy and with the anandon which even stage effects cannot deetroy In American childhood.

Tfce aettinjra were well chosen and attractive. The lighting effects in the hanja of Major York, the costumes designed by Mrs. Tom K. Lumbar and the properties assembled by Mr. Harold Baxter added materially to the enjuynent of the play.

Leslie Setter, who directed the production, again received recognition for a finished performance which moved with obvious smoothness.
