We're talking about the Phoenix Symphony Ball, of course, as aren't we all? Big like in cash for sweet music (the ladies announced a jingle of $46,000 in the coffers) bi Iike in the biggest (the big dining room at the Arizona Biitmore 1 overlowed into the lounge), big like in beautiful women (the elegance of the mmm -Jy long ballgowns was a picture Phoenix has never seen before), big like in beauty (the ballroom was a symphony of twinkling lights and flowers, a dazzi- A- ine-diamond effect that outshown even -VSiniJ Chnnniv'o mint, elrtr wnLI! Lights flickered like fireflies through Maggie the ballroom and dining room, crowning the pretty heads of the hostesses who flittered through the evening's gayiety seeing that everything went like a symphony. And even they were outshown by the smiles on the faces of the 100 guild members who have worked almost a year to stage the biggest night of Phoenix's social season. Can't name them all, but salutes go to Mrs. Newton Rosenzweig and Mrs.
