I was one of seven children and have been dominated a great deal by older brothers and sisters. I am alone a good deal nowadays, as my children are scattered and our visits are rare but we love each other deeply. I am anxious to have frionds and make friends. But my problem is that I become terribly disappointed people after I get to know them well. I simply shrink from everyone for that reason.

WOMEN ESPECIALLY seem to be deceitful, disloyal, envious, rude, penurious, and slow to respond to any kindness. I have been out with different groups of women and I know they rip each other apart over the telephone the very next day, and repeat stories that were told to them In the strictest confidence. I have made every effort tr fall In line and approve, but I can't. They also talk incessantly about their own affairs and lives, and when I start to relate gome simple short anecdote, have been rudely interrupted. Then I become dismayed and remain silent, although as a rule am better Informed on the very subject they are discussing.

I now keep to myself a great deal, which I know Is wrong. What Is my real trouble? W. L. DEAR W. L.

I It Is probably a fact that the vast majority of women are definitely more faulty than fine in their backstage dealings wiflx each other. In corroboration of this impression, we have the folk saying, "The female of the species Is more deadly than the male. Likely this is an inborn predisposition, rather than a conditioned pattern of behavior.

It is a quality of gentleness native to your constitution in contrast to the tough, aggressive breed that nature also produces. You were acting true to your type, in leaning on, and being dominated by, older brothers and sisters in childhood. Later, in the mother role, you automatically exercised a rule of supremacy in relation to your children, which gave you advantages in the exchange. It is only now, in the sphere of community life where you haven't the all-eround insulation of family consideration that you are battered by the cut-throat impact of average Nuptials Are Read For Couple The First Church of God yesterday was the setting for the wedding of Miss Florene Wells and Jerry F.
