He wag born in Safford, but had lived his entire life in Sanchez. He attended Solomon grade school and Safford High School and would have graduated on the day of his burial. DeSpain, 53, who died Sunday at Nava-pache Hospital in Lakeside, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Snowflake church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stake center. Burial will follow in Snowflake Cemetery. Mrs. DeSpain was bom in Linden, and lived here the past 40 years.

She was employed as a cook in this area for the past 15 years. A member of the church, she was a primary teacher in the church for 15 years. Survivors Include a son, Richard of Springerville; four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Fox of Show Low, Jala of Hol-brook. Mrs.

Joyce Clegg of Snowflake and Mrs. Geral-dene Kay of Phoenix; two brothers, Frank Malone of Lakeside and Edward Malone of Phoenix, and a half-brother living out of state; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Tooly of Oklahoma; her mother, Mrs. Christine Malone of Arkansas and seven grandchildren. Broster, 6724 W. Devonshire, came to America in 1953 and moved to Arizona in 1957 from Philadelphia. Survivors Include a son, Raymond A. of Phoenix; two grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Shaw, 930 E. Osborn, was born in Summerhill, Pa. Survivors include his wife, Rhoda S.

Shaw; and three brothers and four sisters out of state. Services will be at 5:30 p.m. today in Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. Burial wUl be in Clearfield, Pa.

Roy Edward "Pat" Crowe, 76, an elder of Mornlngside Presbyterian Church who had retired as a senior agent for New York Life Insurance died Monday in Doctors Hospital. Mr, Crowe, 2304 E. Devonshire, whose varied athletic career included professional baseball with the Kansas City Blues, a spring session with the Pittsburgh Pirates, had held a. scouting card with the St Louis Cardinals. Born In Chillicothe, he 13 athletic letters while in high school and set two records in pole vaulting and the mile run.

He had won 'golfing and bowling trophies. As a swimmer, he was credit-, with saving four persons 'from drowning. Mr. Crowe had taught 'school six years at Lucas and Plainville, where he became superintendent of frades. After ranching, farming and operating restaurants he got into the insurance at Topeka, Kan.

Lat-'jet he joined New York Life in ,1930 and opened an office in 1931 at Battle Creek, Mich. He was a member of the Life 'Underwriters, Association and Life Leaders. He sold more than $500,000 in insurance in 194 Ml He came to Phoenix In 1951 from Battle Creek and continued part-time with New York -Life five years after retiring in 1950. He was with the firm '25 years. Survivors include his wife, Do, with whom he celebrated 50th wedding anniversary tin 1967; a son, Roy D.

He had worked for the Wash-i Elementary School District until retiring as head custodian at Desert View School in the late 1960s. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Church and a co-founder of the German -American Club at 14th Street Dunlap. He was born in Germany.
