Boyden Lewis Crouch Boyden Lewis Crouch, 64, an anesthesiologist, died May 28, 1985, at Phoenix hospital. Dr. Crouch, of Phoenix, was born in Nortonville, and moved to Arizona in 1956 years ago from Minnesota.

He was a captain in the Army Medical Corps; national president of Freestanding Ambulatory Surgical Association; member of the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care; past president and member of Arizona State Society of Anesthesiologists; former assistant director of Arizona Regional Medical Program, and member of the library board at Maricopa Country Medical Society. He was also a member American Medical Association, Musical Box Society and Circus Fans of America. Survivors include his wife, Mary son, Robert and two sisters. Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W.

Elouise Arlene Wood Elouise Arlene Wood, 59, a registered nurse at Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City, died May 28, 1985, at Phoenix General Hospital. Mrs.

Wood, of Phoenix, was born in Wichita, and moved to Arizona 22 years ago from California. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Whitlatch and Vicki; sons, David, Bill, John, Paul, Dan, Earl and Joel; a sister and two brothers; and nine grandchildren. Chapel of the Chimes made private arrangements. Marilu Sappenfield Marilu Sappenfield, 72, retired music teacher, died May 26, 1985, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Mrs.

Sappenfield, of Phoenix, was born in Louisville, Ky. She moved to Arizona in 1956 from San Diego, Calif. She graduated from the University of Louisville and received her master's degree in music from Indiana University. She taught in the Scottsdale School District for 13 years before retiring in 1969 and was formerly supervisor of music at the Government Independent School of Fort Knox and a member of the National, Arizona and Scottsdale education associations, the National Music Association and Gloria Del Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, George.

Brainerd Lee Mellinger PARADISE VALLEY Brainerd Lee Mellinger, 92, retired owner and president of Mellinger Tire and Rubber Co. in Kansas City, died May 27, 1985, at Casa Del Mar of Scottsdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. Mr. Mellinger, of Paradise Valley, was in Columbus, and moved to Arizona in 1972 from California. He was a member of Scottsdale United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife. Geri; son, Brainerd L. three grandsons and three great Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian: School Road, Scottsdale.

Albert Edwin Zastrow LAKE HAVASU Albert Edwin Zas. trow, 71, a retired standard engineer with Square Co. in Milwaukee, died May 28, 1985, at Havasu Regional Hospital. Mr. Zastrow, of Lake Havasu, was born in Watertown, and moved to Arizona eight years ago from Milwaukee.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; daughter, Phyllis Meyer; a sister; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in Lake Havasu. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Mt.

Cooney, 82, a retired motorman for New York City Transit Authority, died May 27, 1985, at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Glendale.

Mr. Cooney, of Phoenix, was born in Ireland and moved to Arizona 23 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a member of Most Holy Catholic Church in Phoenix and German American Society Transport Workers Union in New York City. Survivors include his daughter, Maureen Boch; son, James two sisters and three brothers; 11 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Hansen Mortuary made private arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John Lackman Trust Fund, 2001 W. Surrey Phoenix, 85029. Essie Coy YOUNGTOWN Essie Coy, a maker, died May 29, 1985, at Valley View Community Hospital. Mrs. Coy, of Youngtown, was born in Arkansas and moved to Arizona 15 years ago from Texas.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Youngtown. Survivors include her son, Tommy three sisters; six grandchildren and nine great -grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at her church, 113rd Avenue and Alabama Avenue. Friends may a half hour prior to service time at the church.

Heritage Funeral Home made arrangements. Delburt Wally Steele SAN CARLOS Delburt Wally Steele, 27, a forester with the U.S. Forest Service, died May 22, 1985, from injuries received in an automobile accident on Highway 70. Mr. Steele, of San Carlos, was born in Superior.

He was a member of both state and national Trappers Associations. Survivors include his parents, Leah and Riley; six sisters and two brothers; and two grandmothers. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Steele's San Carlos residence, Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the San Carlos Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Betty Elizabeth Wubbolding Betty Elizabeth Wubbolding, 40, vice president of the operation department with Union Savings died May 29, 1985, at her Phoenix residence. Miss Wubbolding was born in Phoenix. She graduated from Xavier High School 1953 and from Arizona State University in 1957. She was former chairman of the personnel committee and former senior vice president of personnel for Greater Arizona Savings Loans.

She was a member Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Board of Directors for Esperanca, Matrix, Board of Directors of Valley Forward and Arizona Horse Lovers Association. Survivors include her mother, Elva and brother, Paul. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N.

Mabel Randall Shumway MESA Mabel Laverne Randall Shumway, 83, of Mesa, died May 28, 1985, at Mesa Lutheran Hosptial. Mrs. Shumway was born in Pine. She lived in Winslow from 1925 to 1965, when she moved to Mesa. She was a member of the Mesa Ward of the Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the church's Relief Society.

Survivors include her daughter, Royce "Joyce" Beydler; son, Richard; three sisters and three brothers; seven grandchildren and 16 great -grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa. Services will be at 10 a.m.

J.W. Callahan TONOPAH J.W. Callahan, 58, an electrician with Bechtel Power Corp. for nine years, died May 21, 1985, at Maryvale Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. Mr.

Callahan, of Tonopah, was born in Sulphur, and was brought to Arizona 53 years ago from Oklahoma. He also worked at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station for nine years, where he was the second electrician employed. He was a World War Il Navy veteran and a member of International Brotherhood Electrical Workers Local No. 640 in Phoenix. Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; daughters, Linda Jean Sanders and Marilyn Rae King; mother, Bertha two sisters and a brother; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Green Acres Mortuary Chapel of faith, 5830 W. Missouri Glendale. Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckeye Rescue Unit, P.O. Box, 1087 Buckeye, 85326.

Albert M. Lineses Albert M. Lineses, 65, a retired restaurant cook, died May 27, 1985, at St. Luke's Medical Center. Mr.

Lineses was born and resided in Phoenix. He was an Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post No. 41 and attended Immaculate Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughter, Anna; sons, Albert Jr. and Andy; mother, Esther; four sisters; and five grandchildren.

Johnston TONTO BASIN Zula F. Johnston, 90, a homemaker, died May 29, 1985, at Desert Terrace Nursing Home in Phoenix. Mrs. Johnston, of Tonto Basin, was born in Oklahoma and moved to Arizona in 1917 from Texas. Survivors include her sons, Manley and Donald; four grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren and a -grandson.

Langill Sr. Guilford M. Langill 78, a retired owner of a Duncan Donut franchise in Phoenix, died May 29, 1985, at John C. Lincoln Hospital Health Center. Mr.

Langill, of Phoenix, moved to Arizona 20 years ago from Massachusetts, where he was born. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 2, Scottish Rite tory, El Zaribah Shrine and Boosters of the Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Olive son, Guildford a sister and a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Cross SUN CITY WEST Alton L. Cross, 75, a retired district manager for a rubber company, died May 28, 1985, at Boswell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cross, of Sun City West, was born in Heath, Texas, and moved to Arizona in 1979 from Millbrae, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Marie; daughter, Bille Jeanne Norris; two sisters and a brother; and a grandchild.

Paul E. Stillwell Sr. SUN CITY Paul E. Stillwell 77, a retired manager with Transue Williams Co. in Alliance, Ohio, died May 29, 1985, at Boswell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Stillwell, of Sun City, was born in Wellsville, Ohio, and moved to Arizona 12 years ago from Alliance. He was with the company in Alliance for 46 years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of the First Christian Church of City, where he served as a deacon and Sun City-Sun Sky Kiwanis Club; past president of the Ohio 'Club of Sun City; a trustee and exhalted ruler an Elks lodge in Alliance; on the Board of Directors of the Red Cross in Alliance and the Board of Directors for the United Fund in Alliance. He also served on the Alliance City Council for six years.

Survivors include his stepgrandsons, John, Mark and Gregory; and a stepgreatgrandchild. Services will be at noon today at Heritage Funeral Home, 13226 113th Young. town. Esiquia S. Diaz GLENDALE Esiquia S. Diaz, 82, a homemaker, died May 1985, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. Mrs.

Diaz, of Glendale, was brought to Arizona 70 years ago from Texas, where she was born. Survivors include her sons, Martinez, Eddie Martinez, Joe Martinez, and Richard Martinez; a sister and a brother; 21 grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren. Mr. Childers, of Winslow, moved to Arizona in 1943 from New Mexico, where he was born. He was a member of the BPOE Elks No. 536. Survivors include his daughter, Pam Polley; sons, J.P.

Rowley, of Mesa, moved to Arizona 23 years ago from Michigan, where he was born. He was a of Elks No. 2349, Masons, Scottish Rite, El Zaribah Shrine Temple and Dreamland Villa Community Club of Mesa. Survivors include his wife, Grace; son, Edward; three sisters; and a grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Mr. Berryman, of Phoenix, was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona i in 1974 from Kansas. He was a member of St. Michael All Angels Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife, Doris daughter, Patricia J.

Andrew N. Sand MESA Andrew N. Sand, 76, X-ray technician, died May 24, 1985, at East Mesa Care Center. Mr. Sand, of Mesa, moved to Arizona nine years ago from North Dakota, where he was born.

Survivors include his sisters, Caroline Gilchrist, Tillie O'Brien, Clara Quinn, Louise Smith and Mary Ann Morris. Services were held. A.L. Moore Sons made arrangements. Darlene Harmon Darlene Harmon, 45, died May 26, 1985, at her Phoenix residence.

Mrs. Harmon was born in Portland, and moved to Arizona in 1976 from Crown Point, Ind. Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl L. Spadlin; sons, Steven L. Kelly and Ray parents, Virginia Reed and Glen Reed; a sister; and three grandchildren.

Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. Mr. Orum, of Phoenix, was born in Waco, Texas, and moved to Arizona in 1941 from Oklahoma. He was a World War I1 Army veteran and, received American Theater, European, African and Middle Eastern ribbons and Good Conduct and and Victory Medals. He was a member of First Institutional Baptist Church in Phoenix, where he served as deacon; Mail Handlers Union, National Alliance of Federal Employees, and Amega Psi Phi Fraternity.

He attended Lanston University in Oklahoma Arizona State University. Survivors include his wife, Katherine; mother, Lucy and two sisters. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at his church, 1141 E. Jefferson.

Hobert D. Nichols KINGMAN Hobert D. Nichols, 86, owner of a bowling alley in Kingman, died May 18, 1985, at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. Nichols, of Kingman, was born in Virginia and moved to Arizona in 1968 from California.

Survivors include his wife, Anna son, Hobert a grandchild and two greatgrandchildren. Services were held in California. Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas made ments. Merwin Coleman Collins LAKE HAVASU Merwin Coleman "Jack" Collins, 63, a retired meat cutter, died May 27, 1985, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Prescott. Mr.

Collins, of Lake Havasu, moved to Arizona 17 years ago from Illinois, where he was born. He was a World War I1 Navy veteran and a member of the Elks. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Ehlers; sons, Merwin "Butch" and Coleman parents, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Collins; a brother; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Leitz-Fraitz Mortuary in Lake Havasu. George W. Zahn George W. Zahn, 73, a retired machinist, died May 28, 1985, at Tempe St.

Luke's Hospital. Mr. Zahn, of Phoenix, moved to Arizona 11 years ago from New Jersey, where he was born. Survivors include his wife, Florence sons, George Bill and Art; and six grandchildren. Services were held.

Ruth Julia Giesen GLENDALE Ruth Julia Giesen, 76, a retired school teacher in Illinois, died May 25, 1985, at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Glendale. Mrs. Giesen, of Glendale, was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona two years ago from Illinois. She was a member of Eastern Star. Survivors include her son, Robert; and three grandchildren.

Charles Merich TONTO BASIN Charles Merich, 67, of Tonto Basin, died May 28, 1985, at Phoenix General Hospital. Mr. Merich moved to Arizona in 1939 from Pennsylvania, where he was born. Fern Kjos SUN CITY Fern Kjos, 74, of Sun City, died May 28, 1985, at Boswell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kjos moved to Arizona in 1972 from Minnesota, where she was born.
