He worked as a General Motors Parts Manager for over 40 Dignity years. Lyle had served as a Master Counselor for the Masonic Lodge. His retirement years were spent traveling throughout the Southwest with his wife. He was deeply attached to his pets. Lyle was preceded in death by his sons Richard Donald.

Born November 23, 1925, in Oklahoma and raised by his mother, Lucille T. Gibson in Portland Oregon. He attended Lewis Clark College in 1942 with a promising career in baseball. He joined the Gibson, 78, of passed away on Army Air Corp in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1945. He returned home and served as a fire fighter in Portland as well as being scouted by the Cincinnati Reds.

His love for his country was greater than his love of baseball and he enlisted in the Air Force. He was commissioned through the Aviation Cadet program and became a Fighter Pilot. While stationed at Moses Lake AFB, WA he met and married Betty Ann Page August 7, 1954. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2001, after 47 years of marriage. A Veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars, his decorated career encompassed 32 years with tours across the United States and in England, Spain and as Commander of the 32nd TFS, Camp New Amsterdam, Soesterburg, the Netherlands.

After a tour with the TAC IG team, he came to Luke in 1974 and retired as Base Commander in 1976. Following his "retirement" from the Air Force he worked for Lockheed Aircraft International and relocated to Saudi Arabia for four years. He returned to Arizona in 1981 and began his third career as flight instructor at the Airline Training Center in Goodyear, AZ for ten years officially "retiring" in 1993. A 30 year resident of Litchfield Park, he was a member of the Daedallians Service Organization and unofficial "Litchfield Park Coffee While in El Campo, he was a member of the Elks Lodge. Survived by his second wife, Betty Harfst, of El Campo, TX; his daughters Terry Sobrero (George) of Las Vegas, NV and Kelly Gibson of Litchfield Park; his step children, Kelly Socha (Mark) of El Campo, TX, Sheriden Harfst of Sugarland, TX and Slade Harfst (Rhonda) of El Campo, TX; his grand children Lyndsey and Cortney Sobrero.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Gleich in 1989. on Thursday, April Charles T. Stevens Charles T. Stevens, 73, Phoenix, AZ went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2004 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cleveland, OH on May 26, 1930. Charlie met the love of his life, Evelyn, in high school and they were married for over 50 years.

He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and then served as an intelligence officer in the Air Force during the Korean War. After the war, he graduated from Case Western Reserve Law School in 1958, and practiced law for over 40 years with Stevens Leibow, P.C., and later Stevens Stevens, P.C. During his distinguished legal career, he received countless honors and awards, and served as President of the Maricopa County Bar Association, State Bar Board of Governors, Assistant Attorney General and Judge Pro Tempore. Recognized as one of the State's top lobbyists, Charlie is most noted for his honesty, integrity, humility and the smile he had for every single person he met. Charlie always looked out for others, made time to help anyone in need and provided pro bono legal representation to several charities and individuals.

Of all his accomplishments, Charlie was most proud of his family. He was a loving father committed to providing every opportunity for his children to succeed, and he truly lived the lessons and values he instilled. He was a role model and mentor to many, and was truly successful in all aspects of his life. The lessons and values he taught will live on in the countless lives he touched, especially in his children. Charlie made the world a better and brighter place, and his light will be dearly missed.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Evelyn, four children, Valery (Craig), Craig (Missy), Bryan and Susie, 5 grandchildren, sister Dorothy (Larry) Ainslie and his loyal dog Rudie. Gorman was born in Waterbury, CT. on March 23, 1957, daughter of Linda A (Murphy) (Gorman) Cariello of Prospect, CT. and the late James R. Gorman. She was also the daughter of the late John Cariello.

Cathy was raised in Prospect, attended Prospect Schools, was a graduate of Wilby High School in Waterbury, CT. and attended Mattatuck Community College in Waterbury, CT. She was employed in computer sales for many years at insight in Scottsdale, Arizona and was a communicant of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Prospect, CT. Besides her Mother, Ms.

Gorman is survived by a Son; Christopher J. Gorman of Scottsdale, Arizona, Two Brothers; Steven Gorman of Waterbury, CT. and John Cariello of Waterbury, CT. and a Niece: Stephanie Ann Gorman. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Griner, 56, beloved husband, father and friend left our sight April 18, 2004. Don was a senior project engineer for Stantec Engineering Consultants. He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda K. Griner; eldest son Erik and a multitude of friends and associates that will miss him greatly. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, camping and just sitting by the fire in the backyard.

Don was a Viet Nam veteran who served two terms of duty for his country and his loved ones. Whether it be fishing or war, Don believed that if you wanted it bad enough, it was worth fighting for. Services will be 4:00 pm Thursday April 22, 2004 at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, AZ. He will be forever loved and forever missed.

Services will be held in lowa. John William Heck, DDS, Capt. US PHS, retired, born February 10, 1923, entered the Church Triumphant April 19, 2004. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he devoted his life to his family and service in the United States Public Health Service and Indian Health Service where he held the naval rank of Captain. Oral surgeon and educator, contributing author for many text books and mentor of numerous interns, Dr.

Heck was honored discover a disease which was named after him. An avid golfer, bowler, traveler, artist, sports fan, raconteur, and lover of history, Jack enjoyed life to the fullest. Together with his devoted wife Doris, he was at the heart of a loving and growing family. A man of honor, dignity, and humor, he lived a life of Christian service. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Doris; a sister, Dorothy; his two daughters, Dorothy and Donna, and their families.

Tom was born in Tucson, Arizona. When his mother died during his infancy, he was raised by his Aunt Ellen Gholson in Wickenburg, AZ. He served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. He later joined his father in business in Salina, Kansas.

After many years operating the family store and after the death of his father, he sold the store and moved to Scottsdale in the early 1960's. He briefly worked as a real estate salesman before officially retiring. Tom will be remembered for his servant's heart. He was never married, but he devoted his life for the family he did have and the care of others, first his invalid father, then a series of elderly aunts and uncles, and finally his neighbors and friends in the retirement community where he lived. He particularly enjoyed family gatherings with his cousins, always thoughtful gifts for the little ones.

Tom touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, selfless attention to others and wry sense of humor. Tom is survived by a number of cousins, including Wayne McKellips and family, the Robert McKellips family, James Borah and the family of Barbara Walter. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2004. at Messinger Mortuaries Chapel, 7601 E.

Warren Funeral Services Valley Chapel, Eloy. Eda J. Choisser, 91, formerly of Chandler, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004 in San Diego. Born Sept. 15, 1912 in Athens, TN, Eda attended schools in Burbank, CA and graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she met and married Jack Choisser, a UA law graduate.

She moved to Chandler in 1939 and began a 39-year teaching career at Chandler High School, where she taught English and sponsored the National Honor Society at CHS. It was not unusual for her to teach several generations of the same family, and she often corresponded with students who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. During those years, she completed a masters degree from ASU, and took particular pride in training student teachers, many of whom stayed with Chandler Schools. She moved to San Diego in 1994, and led an active life with son, John and his wife, Coleen, and Mary Ann Ravouvou, her angel caregiver from Fiji. In addition to John and Coleen, Eda is survived by six grandchildren, Cindy Kaplan, Susan Heck, Christopher Choisser, Craig Choisser, Garrett Krnich, and Matthew Krnich; seven greatgrandchildren, Courtney, Hunter and Morgan Heck, Sarah and Michelle Kaplan, Kendra and Danielle Weber; and one great-great-grandchild, Symphony Weber.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, April 23, 2004 at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Chandler. Services will be at 10 am Saturday, April 24, at Chandler Community Methodist Church, 256 W. Chandler Blvd. Burial will follow at Valley of the Sun Memorial Park.

David Eugene Kern, 83, born in Bakersfield, CA, May and 5, 1920, Hannah the Kern, second son of Boyd died April 17, 2004, in Scottsdale.

After graduating from Santa Clara University, David worked at Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, CA as a service engineer. He designed servicing wrote and maintenance procedures and "Erection Maintenance" and "Repair" technical orders. Mr. which Kern left Lockheed in June 1943, at time he entered the Army Air Corps where he served honorably from June 1943 until his separation in September 1946, Upon completion of his active military service, David worked as a salesman of irrigation pumps for Wintroath Pump Company in Southern California, operating out of Lancaster, CA. He was transferred to the company's Phoenix office in 1961 and retired from there when the company was sold.

After his retirement, David spent much of his leisure time traveling to the Los Angeles area visiting friends and family. He enjoyed his freedom from the work place, doing what he wanted to do, when he wanted to do it. He was much in demand during the winter "social season" as an available extra man for dinner parties in some of the finest homes in Phoenix and Paradise Valley. David was predeceased by his parents and an older brother, Robert. He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Lynda) Kern, Fillmore, CA and Joseph's children, Hannah(Clark) Tulberg, Santa Paula, CA; Peter (Erica) Kern, Oxnard, CA; Paul (Mary) Kern, San Luis Obispo, CA; Mary (Robert) Orellana, Santa Paula, CA; Elizabeth (Ken) Kulwiec, Glenwood Springs, CO; Charles (Sandrine) Kern, Los Angeles, CA and Dominic Kern, Fillmore, CA.

David is also survived by his companion for the past 36 years, Robert Paty, Scottsdale, AZ. A Memorial Mass will be held 1PM Friday, April 23, 2004 at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 1030 N. James H. King, 77 of Phoenix, AZ went home to be with the Lord April 18, 2004. He was born on December 10, 1926 in Coraopolis, PA and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1977. Pastor of Equator Faith Mission Church, he is survived by his loving wife Anna, three sons James Ronald and Joseph. Fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
