ARIZONA REPUBLIC 3 MILESTONES 3 WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2002 9 ANNIVERSARIES Betsy and John Gilchrist John and Betsy Gilchrist (formerly Betsy Toban) of Phoenix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to China from Sept. 18 to Oct. 10. The Gilchrists were married on Sept. 18, 1952, in Chicago.

They moved to Arizona in 1996. They have three children: Kari LaGraff of Grover Beach, Kevin of Phoenix; and Kim of Los Angeles. They also have three grandsons. John Gilchrist was director of the Santa Monica Pier and is now a consultant. WEDDINGS Melinda Zell Jon Lindell Melinda Zell and Jon Lindell were married Dec.7 at Sunshine Inn Suites in Phoenix.

The bride is the daughter of David and Lenna Rorie of Phoenix. The groom is the son of James and Lynn Lindell of Glendale. The couple met on the Internet. They live in Glendale. Joan and Leo Shocinski Leo P.

and Joan J. Shocinski (formerly Joan J. Foster) of Phoenix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 8 with a family dinner. The Shocinskis were married on Nov.

8, 1952, in Decorah, Iowa. They moved to Arizona in 1980. They have seven children: Stephen, Michael, Victor and Barbara of Phoenix; Laura Willcox of Louisiana; Jodie Cain of Brooklyn Center, and Anthony of Richfield, Minn. They also have two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Rebecca Golden Keith Nicholas Rebecca Golden and Keith Nicholas were re married Oct.

18 at Community Church of Joy in Glendale. The bride is the daughter of Bette Knoell of Glendale and the late Ronald Golden. The groom is the son of Dianne and Edwin Nicholas of Glendale. The couple met at a restaurant four years ago. They are the parents of a 2-year-old girl.

The couple met at a dance. Patsy and -Donald Fuller Donald T. Sr. and "Patsy Fuller (for-merly Patsy Little) of -Phoenix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 5 with the renewal of their vows and a reception.

The Fullers were married on Oct. 4, -1952, in Phoenix. They have four children: Pamela and Debbie Smith Phoenix, Don Jr. of California and Walt of Missouri. They also have 13 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Donald Fuller was a leadman for Adobe Air. He retired in 1997. Patsy Fuller is a cashier for Texaco. The couple met when they were students at Balsz Elementary School. Kathleen and Fritz Schoech Fritz and Kathleen Schoech (formerly Kathleen Goodridge) of Surprise celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug.

30 with a party. The Schoechs were married on Aug. 30, 1952, in Bellevue, Ky. They moved to Arizona in 1957. They have two children: Terry of Phoenix and Robert of Peoria.

They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Fritz Schoech was a supervisor for Trans World Airways. He retired in 1983. Kathleen Schoech was a customer service associate for Valley Bank. She retired in 1988.

The couple met in 1951 while working for TWA at the Greater Cincinnati Airport. Mollie and Albert Lopez Albert and Mollie Lopez of Phoenix celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Nov. 21 with a dinner. The Lopezes were married on Nov. 21, 1936, in Phoenix.

They have six children: Louis and Virginia of Phoenix; Rudy of Mesa; Bertha Hernandez of Boulder, Robert of Anaheim; and Teresa Espinoza of Goodyear. They also have 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Albert Lopez was a gas appliance technician for Appliance Service Center. He retired in 1984. Mollie Lopez is a homemaker.

The couple met through friends. Sam Russo Sam and Rose Russo (formerly Rose Ruvolo) of Sun City celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 23 with a family diner. The Russos were married on Nov. 22, 1942, in Omaha, Neb.

They moved to Arizona in 1979. They have three children: Palma Mitzel of Sun City; Samuel of Lakewood, and Elena Webster of Omaha. They also have 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Sam Russo was a supervisor for the Omaha Public Power District. He retired in 1979.

Rose Russo was an executive secretary for the Army Corps of Engineers. She retired in 1979. The couple met at a Rose and dance in Omaha. Opal and Albert Main Albert and Main (formerly Opal Thomason) of Phoenix celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 26 with a Hawaiian dinner party.

The Mains were married on Oct. 17, 1932, in Glendale. They have two children, Joy McLain and the late Albert Jr. They also have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Albert Main was self-employed in trucking.

He retired in 1960. Opal Main is a homemaker. The couple met while attending Mesa Union High School. The groom is the son of Pat and Jim Bacon of Montpelier, Ohio. Karina Lorinczi Sean Moore Karina Lorinczi and Sean Moore were married Nov. 9 at Historic First Church in Phoenix. The bride is the daughter of Jennifer and Geyza Lorinczi of Taos, N.M. The groom is the son of Kathy and Carl Moore of Phoenix.

The couple met while working together at the down- Dorothy and Dale Dent Dale and Dorothy Dent (formerly Dorothy Smith) of Sun City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22 with a reception. The Dents were married on Nov. 22, 1952, in Iron River, Mich. They moved to Arizona in 2000.

They have four children: Duane of Iron River; Deborah Schwanz of Waukesha, Darrell of Mukwonago, and Donna Jones of Silver Lake, Wis. They also have 13 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Dale Dent was a machine-shop foreman for Wisconsin Centrifugal. He retired in 1982. Dorothy Dent was a heart-monitor technician for Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Donald Watson Donald E. and Mary Watson (formerly Mary Foster) of Sun City celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Nov. 22. The Watsons were married on Nov. 22, 1949.

They moved to Arizona in 1970. They have one child, Dennis of Phoenix. Donald Watson was a bus driver for Phoenix Transit. Mary Watson is a homemaker. The couple was born and raised in Oneida, N.Y.

Gwen and Lloyd Taylor Lloyd E. and Gwen F. Taylor (formerly Gwen F. Ford) of Phoenix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 9 with a reception and a trip to Hawaii.

The Taylors were married on Sept. 9, 1952, in Phoenix. They have two children: Janet L. Fritz of Phoenix and the late Alan. They also have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
