Dear nephew of Robert, Kenneth and Terry, Shawn and Shauna, Jody and Louis Charles. Special cousin to Sydney, Madison and Henry. Donald Morris Lonchar, 81, of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed away May 13, 2005. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force. Services will be held in Illinois. Bueler Mortuary VETERAN handled arrangements.

Gabor Lorant, 75, Phoenix, Arizona, passed away April 24, 2005 while in Budapest, Hungary. The recipiof Fulbright grants from 1999 through 2005, Gabor taught western building design and construction processes to international students at the Technical University of Budapest. His expertise with hazard mitigation led to recognition throughout the United States and Europe. Granted an honorary doctorate in 2004, his teaching embodied the opportunity and freedom that is offered in the United States. In 1956 he was forced to flee Hungary for the United States after playing significant role as a Freedom Fighter in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.

He settled in Phoenix, Arizo1957, establishing his architecture firm, Gabor Lorant Architect Inc. in 1963. Under his direction for its first 30 years, the firm designed and built projects in 32 states and three countries, receiving numerous awards for design and construction excellence. Gabor was individually honored with Fellowship, in the American Institute Architects and received the Arizona Architects Medal, having served his profession local, regional, national and international levels. He also contribmany ways to the quality of life his community, serving as the Chairman of the Phoenix Environmental Commission, the Co-Chair of the Phoenix Mountain Preservation Committee, Chairman Building Performance Center of the American Institute of Architects, as President of the Urban League Development Company, and as a Member of the Board of Directors for the American Institute of Architects, the Valley Christian Centers, the Arizona Roadside Council, CODAMA, Phoenix Urban League and Phoenix O.1.C.

Gabor is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Mona Lorant, his daughter, Katarina Vance, his sons, Timot Lorant and Jan Lorant, and his grandchildren, Audrianna Vance and William Lorant. A memorial service will be conducted at on Saturday, the 18th of June 2005 at the Preparatory Academy, 735 E. Fillmore, Phoenix, Arizona. John was born on February 23, 1936 in Plymouth, Indiana. John moved his wife and family to Phoenix, AZ in 1967 to enjoy a sunny and dry climate. John was a member of the Arizona Mountain Rescue Associations a group of volunteers that would help rescue stranded hikers off of the many Arizona mountains. John had a heart of gold and would help any friends, neighbors or anyone that needed help without expecting anything in return. The McLaughlin family would like to thank their sister-in-law Brenda McLaughlin who has unselfishly taken care of our father for the past two years as his health was failing.

Without her love, affection and kindness our fathers last days would have been more painful then they were. Thank you so much and we all love you with all of our hearts. The family will be honoring the life of John on June 4, 2005 with a private gathering of the family and close friends. Andy geously fought disease, (SLE) for several Mullins, Aug 9, 1975, Most him or Colcoura- the Lupus years. Often there were severe complications. From one such episode, Dignity he had to learn to walk again. He endured all with bravery a keen sense of humor. He often entertained us with his silliness, imitations, unique comments on life.

On those occasions when Andy felt better, he visited friends, relatives, gym, casino. He frequented Bridgett's Last Laugh. An avid sports fan, Andy played golf with Steve Zerbe, a buddy and his former teacher. Andy bowled with many special friends, inc. John Lori Spiva, Dora, Zane, Dave Jeannette W.

many more terrific friends. Andy was always ready to attend a Sporting event, especially a Suns Game with Greek or Tom. He played racquetball, basketball was quite good at both. He was a strong swimmer and learned to swim as a baby. In the third grade, Andy won the Math Bee for the entire K-8th Grade School! Sky Summer Family Camp held Andy's fondest childhood memories, along with Christmas Eve with friends family.

Later, he included Super Bowl Parties plus Tom Maria's annual Christmas Party as his favorite events. Andy had a voracious appetite for food, fun: wonderful friends relatives would call often invite him to dine with them, go to a movie, dancing or just hang out. Bless those who continually included him in their hearts, prayers, family traditions celebrations. Andy's Love was Jennifer. Both of their families were thrilled when they met fell in love.

Most recently, Jennifer Andy were planning their lives together. Andy passed peacefully in his own bed at home Sunday, May 8, 2005. William 0. Parks Ill (Bud) was born in Ottumwa, lowa on February 22, 1944. He moved with his parents to the Phoenix area in 1956. He died of complications related to diabetes on Monday, May 9th. He is preceded in death by his parents william O.

Parks, Jr. and Eleanor West Parks. He is survived by his wife and best friend Gael Neugebauer Parks, Dignity aunt Ruth West Holmes of Phoenix and aunt Jane West Koch of Columbus, GA. He attended the University of Arizona where he served as President of his fraternity Phi Gamma Delta and graduated from of A law school where he was a proud member of the first annual Carpenters Convention. He spent his legal career with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office where he served under.

5 administrations. He was selected to participate in Class 13 of Valley Leadership. He will be missed for his dry wit, his intelligence and his generosity. His wife offers grateful thanks to all the excellent and caring staff at Good Samaritan Hospital and the plethora of personal physicians and nurses who ensured he had an amazing quality of life for as long as he did. Utah on January 31, 1913. In 1938, Fawn married Lee Roy Richardson of Hollywood, California. They were married for 14 years. Fawn loved to dance and was very talented in Fawn Richardson, passed away on April 4, 2005. She was born in Ogden, sewing clothing for her clients.

In 1971, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be near her son. Later, she gave much of her time and creative energy to her grandchildren. A strong, gentle person, she was always caring, kind and inquistive. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eva Stelene and June Gallagher, and brother, William "Bud" Walker. She is survived by her son William, his wife Nancy, and two grandchildren, Brian and Dana.

Joan Anne Robbins, 70, of Scottsdale, Arizona, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2005. Joan was born on June 10, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Ralph and Elizabeth Oliver. The youngest child of a closelyknit Irish Catholic family, Joan grew up surrounded by the affection and love of her grand- parents, Martin and Katherine Brennan, and her 9 uncles and aunts whom she believed were her brothers and sisters. In those days she was affectionately known by her family as Midge. Coming of age in the economically expansive period following World War 11, Joan tried her hand at a number of different vocations including being a secretary, a nun, a nurse and a teacher before finding the vocation to which she would commit her life: motherhood.

In 1956 she met Wilfred Lee Robbins, a veteran of the Korean War. They married and had six children. She is survived by her exhusband, her children Anne Myers, Dennis Robbins (Tracey), Mari Dewberry (Shawn), Christopher Robbins (- Tonya), Sean Robbins and PJ Mark (Lance), ten grandchildren and a beloved beagle. She was predeceased in 1988 by Ron Peterson, an adopted son. After moving to Scottsdale in 1973, Joan began working as a clerk in the unit of Scottsdale Memorial Hospital where she worked for 25 years.

She was well known and deeply appreciated for her thoughtfulness, generosity and irreverent wit. She was happiest when holding a newborn in her arms. After retiring in 1999, Joan spent her time working as a volunteer in her church, lunching with friends and spoiling her grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, from 4 to 7 pm at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road.

A funeral service will held at 11 am on Monday morning, May 16, at Scottsdale Congregational United Church of Christ, 4425 N. Granite Reef Road. Robert Hydon Vreeland, Engineer, geologist and musician, passed away in Mesa on 5-13-05. He was 88 years old. Mr. Vreeland was born in Denver, Colorado, on February 11, 1917. He first child of Edwin Dean Vreeland and Ruth Hydon Vreeland.

Robert spent his youth in downriver Detroit, graduating from Lincoln Park High School in 1934 after taking college preparatory courses. There studied music under Louis Finlay of Detroit. He then earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Michigan. During World War I1 he served in the U.S. Army as a mechanical engineer at the Engineer Board at Fort Belvoir in Virginia.

He then earned a master's degree at Stanford University. Later he was awarded a Hughes doctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California. As an aerospace engineer his specialty was the structural analysis of flight vehicles, working on many from the OS2U Kingfisher to the Skylab, including the F4U Corsair airplane, the MARCAS Missile, and the Space Shuttle. He retired in 1979. As a geologist he was considered to be the authority on natural bridges and arches in published 21 books on uthe subject.

Also, Mr. Vreeland played in the reed section of many big dance bands. In addition, he started waterskiing in 1937, building his own skis and winning manv trophies and aold medals. He Donald E. Whitehurst, 74, died Thursday April 21st in San Angelo, Texas.

Born May 9, 1930 in Hayden, Arizona to James and Lissie Mae (Clendennen) Whitehurst. A long time resident of Phoenix, Don spent many years as the superintendent of. Superlite Builders Supply and in retirement worked as a handyman. Don married Sally Maureen Malloy in June of 1949 and had three sons: Michael Donald Steven and James Patrick (deceased). Two marriages followed Sally's death in 1971.

Don lived to dance and spent the last few years dancing with his favorite partner and dear friend Anna Lewis. He belonged to three dance clubs in San Angelo. He was a member of the Glendale Masonic Lodge and a 32nd degree Mason since 1969, and belonged to the Shriner's El Zaribah Temple and the Suez Temple in San Angelo. Survivors include two sons: Michael Whitehurst, wife Deborah and sons M. Alexander Matthew; Steve Whitehurst and wife Manuela; sister Nancy Mitchell and husband Elmo and children Terry and Shirlene; brother Tom Gibson and wife Kathy and daughter Shanna; uncles Woodrow Whitehurst and Ernest Clendennen and aunt Oneta Singleton.

Services were held in San Angelo with full Masonic rites. Norma L. Wiggins, 72, of Phoenix Arizona, a former analyst with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005. She came to Arizona in 1952.

She is survived by sons Brian Gregory Wiggins and Kenton Stanley Wiggins, two grandchildren, Christi Wiggins and Thomas Darrington.
