SUNDAY, AUGUST 7, 2005 Mary Ann Barker, 66, passed over on ley of the Sun Mortuary. Michelle A. (Bower) Budman, 41, of Wichita, KS passed away on July 25, 2005. Memorial Service (pester) Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Heritage HERITAGE Funeral Chapel 6830 Thunderbird Rd. August 5, 2005.

Mary Ann was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1938 to Kenneth and Dora Askins McCauley. She was raised in Apollo, Pa. Mary Ann attended Edinboro State Teachers College and graduated in 1960. She moved to Arizona with some of her friends after college and began her teaching career with Glendale Elementary District. She retired from Glendale after 40 years of teaching.

She enjoyed life with her husband Robert and she loved to travel. She lived life with zest, humor and kindness. She was always lending a helping hand and was involved in many activities and organizations. She was admired by many. Although her life was taken early, she left an incredible impression in the lives of all who knew her.

Our love for her will always remain. She will be missed immensely. She is survived by her daughter Amanda and son-in-law Chris Pelton, son Robert Bradley Barker, grandchildren Bryce, Blake and Elyse, brothers John Tom and Patrick McCauley, and sister Lois Devilling. Memorial service will be held at Christ's Church of the Valley, 7007 West Happy Valley Road, Peoria at 4:30 on Wednesday August 10, 2005. Donations may be made to the Leukemia research Foundation.

She was born on July 12, 1928 in Seattle, Washington. Sally went to Roosevelt High School in Seattle, and graduated with her teacher's degree from the University of Washington. She then taught grade school at Punahou School in Hawaii from 1950 to 1966. Sally married Ken in Hawaii in 1953, then moved to Seattle for 7 years. The couple then moved back to Hawaii where they raised their kids and remained for the next 30 years.

Sally is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ken Brockman, as well as her daughter, Lani Brockman and son, Chad Brockman. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 8th, at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Sun Lakes, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley. Arrangements entrusted to Val- Bronislaw (Bruno) Bus, age 45, of Youngtown, AZ, died unexpectedly near Wikieup on July 30, 2005.

Bruno was born in Boleslaw, Poland on May 22, 1960. He came to Arizona in 1998, by way of Italy and Canada. Bruno is survived by his beloved and loving wife, Dorena Mello; stepsons Zackary Parrill of Youngtown, AZ, Aaron Collins of Honolulu, HI, and Chris Collins of Glendale, AZ; daughters Daria Bus Sylvia Bus of Ontario, Canada; and mother Janina Gedzba Bus and a brother, both of Poland. Bruno strove for perfection in every aspect of his life. He never met a physical challenge that he couldn't conquer.

He was a former professional soccer player. He ran marathons competed in triathlons. He was religious about weight-training and keeping in shape. He turned to cycling a few years ago and excelled at the sport, becoming the leader of the cycling group, The Holy Spokes (www.holyspokes.com/). Bruno enjoyed hunting, hiking, camping and riding dirt bikes.

He was fastidious in his work. As a superintendent for Pulte Homes, he worked hard to ensure that homeowners moved into a beautifully finished product. Bruno was a devout Christian and a member of the North Hills Church of God. He will be deeply and profoundly missed by his family and large circle of friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 1 p.m.

Neal Patrick Deatherage, 45, of Tempe, passed away Saturday July 30, 2005. He leaves as survivors his wife Charity, his son Devlin, and his parents Vernon and Mary Deatherage.

Godbehere, age 68, passed went to be with away August 4, 2005 surrounded by family and friends after a long illness. A native of Phoenix, Garry lived Dignity for a short time, as a child, in Texas where he developed a love for music and learned to play the guitar. He toured the East coast promoting his Top 10 Billboard hit This included an appearance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Later in life he coached little league baseball and served as a Scoutmaster. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a great love for animals.

He was an active participant in his children's lives. He was an owner and operator of The Library of Paints in Phoenix for over 40 years. Garry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marian, 5 children, Garry (Terry), Brian (Kim), Michael (Mary), David and Kristin Godbehere. 3 sisters, Arlene Baker Selvey (Norris), Shirley Jean Hogg (Wayne), and Sharon Graham (Bob). 5 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2005 from 6-9 P.M. at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 Ave. Glendale. Funeral will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home.

Griffith, 54, died at his home in Phoenix Saturday, July 30, 2005. Born Dec. 26, 1950, in Freeport, he was the son of Homer J. and Dignity Leona (Doeden) Griffith. After graduating from Freeport High in 1968, he received an associates, degree College from and was Highland active in Com- local theater groups.

About 30 years ago Doug moved to Phoenix where he attended the University of Hair and for 15 years was employed at Changes Salon in Scottsdale. He currently was employed at AJ's Market and Deli in Scottsdale. Surviving family members include his mother, a resident of Parkview Home in Freeport; a sister, Nancy J. Landgraf of Howell, his partner, Jim Hindman of Phoenix; and two nephews, Jeffrey Landgraf of Dewitt, and Michael Landgraf of Southfield, Mich. His father precedhim in death, Sept.

25, 1997. Doug loved the theater and was fond of country music, vintage movies, baseball and traveling. His generous heart, sense of humor, and smiling face will be missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service celebrating his life will be scheduled later. Donald (Donnie) Lee Guenther, 53 of Phoenix, formely of Tucson passed away Thursday July 21st, 2005.

Don was bron March 18th, 1952 in Michigan. In Tucson Don attended John B. Wright Elementary, Doolen Jr High and Catalina High School. Don lived in Phoenix for the last 30 years. He owned his own business and built race cars.

He strived for perfection and safety in his cars. He was very active in the racing business. Preceded in death by his father Don Guenther in 1975 and his brother Kurt Guenther in 1983. Don is survived by his wife Terri, his mother Beverly Guenther, his brother Robert and his sisters Juanita (Angel) and Amanda. Beloved newphews Joei, Justin and Dallas.

Also survived by his Uncle Tom Berryman of Florisa, his godmother Mary Hutchison and many cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers a donation on his behalf to the American Cancer Society, would be appreciated. A celebration of Don's life will be held in the near future. Rest in Peace my son. HOWLAND 6-25-25 8-03-02 Jean was a lady among ladies who possessed enormous God-given integrity and common sense. Her caring, loving generosity and compassion made those around her better and happier. Her accomplishments as a roller skate dancer, seamstress and culinary artist were truly admirable. These are but a few of Jean's many life-span attributes. Jean, thank you for a wonderful 50-year experience.

Your spirit lives with me always. Alfred THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC Frances S. Butler, August 5, 2005 in Forum at Desert Harbor, Peoria, Ariz. Born in San Francisco, in 1918 to the late Judge and Mrs. Frank G.

Swain (Merle Kissick), she grew up in Whittier, Calif. and lived in Southern California until 86, passed away her home at The moving to Phoenix in 1958. After graduation from Pomona College in 1940, she married her husband, E. Reynolds "Renny," Butler who preceded her in death, along with her son Stephen R. her son-inlaw, John Wood, and great-grandson Harrison L.

Until her retirement, Fran was a paralegal with the firm of Snell and Wilmer, A lifelong volunteer and committee worker, she served as president of the Assistance League of La Canada, and in Phoenix was active in the All Saints' Episcopal Church Altar Guild. She served as Chairman in 2002. She was a member of the Phoenix Zoo Auxiliary and chairman of the Phoenix Zoo Committee in 1979 and 1980. After her move in 2003 to The Forum at Desert Harbor, she delighted in becoming very active in her new community. She served as Secretary to the Scholarship Committee.

A member of the Moon Valley Country Club, Fran played golf into her 80s. Always, though, she was best at being a mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother. Dubbed "Wolfie" by one grandson, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara B. Wood of Goodyear, son, Michael S. Butler of Glendale, daughters-inlaw Kathleen B.

Butler of Phoenix and Fran H. Butler of Glendale, granddaughters Beverly B. Hart (Sean) of Phoenix, Sharon Carpenter (Bill) of Chandler, Carla Borgaila (Bob) of Council Bluffs, lowa; grandsons Stephen R. Butler, Jr. (Dana), of Chandler, Mark Wood (Jennifer), of Flagstaff, great-granddaughters Ella Butler, and Michelle, Renee and Haley Borgaila; and great-grandsons Cody Butler, Kyle Martinelli, William Carpenter and Michael Borgaila.

William A. Caldwell, 88 Passed away on August 4th, 2005. A Native of Ari- zona and Veteran of WWII. He served in the Pacific Theater as a United States Navy SeaBee's. William is survived by his wife Johnnie Caldwell, Children George Caldwell, Jane Brushnighan, Debbie Huntor, Six Grandchildren, Christopher Brushnigham, Amy Smith, Carrie Caldwell, Zachary Huntor, Meghan Huntor, Abby Huntor and three Great Grandchildren Ashlee Caldwell, Chase Smith and Emily Smith.

All of these Jim was pleased to consider as his close family. Some of them benefited greatly from his wisdom and caring as they matured from teenagers to adults. Jim grew up in the Minneapolis and Lake Minnetonka areas. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as an engineer by Hughes Aircraft, General Electric and Honeywell. After retiring, he was in private business in Arizona for a number of years until his eyesight became a problem.

There will be a reception for family and friends on August 20, from 12:00 to at the Ancala County Club, 11700 East Via Linda, Scottsdale, Arizona. Hall, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was born in Globe, AZ on August 11, 1929 and was a life long resident of Chandler, graduating from Chandler High and Arizona State University. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Panama during the Korean War and served as a payroll officer. Robert was the sole proprietor of Hall's Men's Shop in Chandler from 1956 -1987.

He is survived by his children, David Hall (Teresa), Tim Hall (Kathy), Susan Jerdee (Randy), grandchildren; Tara, Steve, Megan, Brad, Jordan, Morgan and great granddaughter, Aubrey, brothers; Larry and Elliott Hall. Interment will be at Mt. View Memorial Gardens in Mesa. Glen Ray Hartey, age 61, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away with dignity on August 5, 2005 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born on December 17, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to William A.

Hartey and Thelma Cragun. He served in the US Army and was an honored veteran. He enjoyed 18 years of work with DECA. He is survived by his wife, Loretta J. Hartey, of 30 years; daughter, Kristin Hartey, and her three children, Gabriela, Mariah and Ethan; daughter, Kimberly Nielsen; son, James Nielsen; son, Jon Hartey, his wife, Jill, and their two children, Avery and Asher; four sisters, one brother and loving dog, Lacey.

Willa Randolph Angell Johnson, 91, of Sun City passed away July 19, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo M.

Johnson of 56 Dignity years. She was born in Hydro, Oklahoma to John and Frances Angell. She lived in Anadarko, Oklahoma before moving to Washington, D.C. and Bethesda, Maryland for 47 years. She is survived by her daughters; Linda F.

Johnson of Sun City and Cynthia J. Mendoza and her son-in-law, Richard Mendoza of Granada Hills, California. In addition to her surviving children, she is also survived by two grandchildren, Alexandra and Michael Mendoza of Granada Hills, California. She is also survived by a sister, Dorris and her husband Louis Loeffler, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

and Pauline Murphy Jordan in Nantucket, MA and was a student of St Clement Grammar School and 1952 grad of St Mary's High School Phoenix. He was a SSgt in the Air Force and a long time hockey Dignity coach and Assistant youth hockey coach, including 13 years at Everett High School. Norman was a member of the MA State Hockey Assoc. and a referee for many years in the North Shore area. He was known as a strong disciplinarian and teacher of hockey fundamentals.

Franks, February 28, 1925 August 4, 2005. Frances Franks is survived by her wonderful husband Ernest Franks; her four loving grandson's: Robert Furman, Bruce Furman, Brad Furman, and Brent Furman; her one and only great granddaughter Katrina Alfaro; her great grandson Jacob Furman; her most precious great great grandson David Alfaro II; and last, but not least, all of her terrific friends. Fran and Ernest "Lucky" have had a long and loving relationship being married since the age of 17 and having their only daughter, Connie FranksFurman, who unfortunately passed away on February 12, 2000. Fran loved anybody and everybody and everybody who had the opportunity to know her loved her as well. She touched so many hearts with her loving words.

Fran had a very long career as a beautician. She enjoyed making people beautiful on the outside to match their inner beauty and to feel good about themselves. Everything she ever did was to help other people, that was what made her happy. Then, as she grew old, she was into making crafts for holidays and for fun. She also enjoyed playing "hostess" for family gatherings and for all of the parties in their community club house.

Thunderbird Rd. Joe Oscar Fried, 84 of Youngtown, passed away August 4, 2005. Joe was born on Feb. 17, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was proud to have served in the Army Air force. Joe is VETERAN survived by his daughter, Sharon (Richard) Atwood, sons, Leo and William, 6 Dignity grandchildren, Richard, Dawn and Amanda Atwood, Mitsy, Aaron and Annie Fried and 1 great grandchild Landon Atwood.

Daniel Francis Geare, age 69, passed away on August 1, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on April 12, 1936. He was preceded in death by his parents Catherine and Edwin Geare, brother Richard and sister-in-law Suzanne. James Kneip, 57, of Phoenix, Arizo- na passed away on August 1, 2005 He was born on October 7, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Brenda Kneip, brothers Peter, John and Paul, daughter Sherry, son Gregory, granddaughters Tamara, Jaimie, Ashleigh and Prema, and great granddaughter Makayla. For the past 32 years he has served as a laboratory manager for Maricopa County Public Health.

Born in Whittier, CA on March 27, 1970, he was the oldest of three children. The family made homes in Whitter, Fergus Falls, MN, Black Canyon City, AZ, Park Rapids, MN and finally settled in Glendale, AZ in 1986. He was a humorous man who missed his acting calling and was a great story teller. He loved his family immensely, especially his 3 children. He was preceded in death by his father, Stacy Michael Lee.
