OBITUARIES TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2006 B9 THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC Dorothy Aileen Haverstick, 65, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on March 9, 2006. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 6:30 PM at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Anna Starts, 51, of Phoenix, passed away on March 11, 2006. A memorial service will be held at -sc n.

7:00 P.M., Saturday March 18, 2006 at A. L. Moore D'Mi5jy Grimshaw Bethany Chap- el, 710 West Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ. Bev Ogitvie. It is with extreme sadness that the children of Bev Ogilvie announce the passing of their mother on March 4, 2006 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Born in Berthoud, Colorado she moved with her family to Grand Lake, Colorado at age nine. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy High School in Denver and subsequently attended Colorado now Colorado State University. An accomplished horsewoman, Bev participated on the development squad for equestrian riding on the United States team ana subsequently showed, competed and eventually judged in Western riding events. Bev was director of Monarch Ski School in South-central Colorado for many years where she taught thousands of people world wide the thrill of skiing.

After retiring from the ski industry she began a medical intuitive practice first in Salida Colorado, and then in Scottsdale, Arizona where she helped many find new health and happiness in their lives. During this time Bev gained an international reputation as a speaker and healer. Bev is survived by her children, Gregory K. Ogilvie, DVM, Kim Fortune, and Rodney S. Ogilvie, a sister, Pat Robinson, and one granddaughter Torrie K.

Ogilvie. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched. Angelina T. Osuna, 74, entered into rest March 7, 2006. She was pre- Michael Bruce Jenkins, 52, of Gilbert Arizona, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006.

Maloney, 84, of Phoenix, AZ died Thursday March 9th. She was born in Fairfield, CT and was the daughter of the late David T. and Helen (Baker) Domonkos. She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1939. Gladys was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Kelly, a granddaughter, Heidi Fredericks, and three sisters, Helen Nagy, Ollie Sharrow and Ethel Berlingeri.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John P. Maloney, and her two daughters, Judy Maloney and Patricia Fredericks, a brother, William Domonkos, two sisters, Doris Harrington and Connie Stiliha, two granddaughters, Gretchen Stumme and Rebecca Fredericks, three grandsons, Gregory Fredericks, Michael Kelly and Brian Kelly, along with four great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Gladys was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Ahwatukee Foothills Senior Association. She loved her family and enjoyed playing bingo, line dancing and doing needlework crafts. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, March 15th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM rosary at Carr Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S.

Deane Irving Martinez, 74, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on March 3, 2006 Mildred H. Hoover was born April 13, 1911 in Elwood, Kansas and died March 8, 2006 in Sun City z. West AZ. We will be cele- brating her long life of 94J)lMmyy years on March 17, 2006.

She was the daughter of George and Ethel Farley and the oldest daughter of ten children. Her only living sister is Vivian Weinstock who resides in Riverside, CA. Our parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hoover were married on March 31, 1931 and from the marriage of 33 years came two children.

George Hoover, who preceded her in death in 1993 and was married to Billie (Hansen) in 1956 and is now residing in Wittman, AZ; Nancy (Hoover) Galladora and her husband John, from Payson, AZ. Our mother was a professional homemaker before she retired in 1999 to live with her daughter in Payson, AZ. She loved to work outside in her yard with her flowers, but most of all her family came first in her life and all of us will miss her very much. Our mother was also the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren Danny Tignor, Mesa, AZ; Bridget Hoover, Dallas, TX; Toni Richter, Wittman, AZ; George Hoover Phoenix, AZ; Karen Atwood, Phoenix, AZ; Jason Beckner, Payson, AZ; Eric Beckner, Payson, AZ; Kyle Hochstetler, Mesa, AZ; Trisha Ehlert, Payson, AZ; also Robbie who has preceded her in death. To all of this she was blessed with 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Mary Helen Huber, 90, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2006 in the comfort of home surrounded by her loving fami-1 ly.

Mary was born August 7th, 1915 in Barberton, oh to George and Anna Reder. She is joyfully reunited with her husband John, daughter Susan and grandson An dy. Mary was very active with the Lady's Sodality, Loretta Shop and also worked in the school cafeteria while raising eight children. Mary had an amazing zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor. If you were to measure one's wealth by friends, family and love that was shared, then Mary was very wealthy. She was truly a child of God and will live in our hearts and memories forever. Dr. Charles Warren, 83 yrs. Of Tempe and formerly of Flagstaff, AZ passed away on March 4, 2006. Charles S. Warren was born July 9, 1922 in Richland, MO to parents Henry Brock Warren and Mildred Stevens Warren.

He graduated from local schools in Richland. Charles served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. Charles received his Bachelors Degree and Masters degree in education from University of Missouri, Columbia in 1947 and 1950. He earned a PhD in Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1954.

He directed Bands and taught music in Missouri and Kansas prior to coming to Arizona State College (NAU) in Sept. 1955. At NAU he was Assistant Director of Bands, Instructor of Woodwinds, and taught courses in Music History. Dr. Warren retired from NAU in 1985 and moved to Tempe.

in 1986, he became a part-time instructor at Arizona State University teaching Music History until May 2004. Dr. Warren was a member andor advisor to Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Kappa Psi, Tau Kappa Ep-silon, and the Masons. He was an inspiration to many students throughout his career. He had a passion for music and Jazz but most important was a devoted educator, friend, and advisor to students who visited him from all over the country.

He is survived by his sister Helen Zink, nephew David Zink, and niece Kalynn Hendrix all of Kansas City, MO. There were no services in AZ and he was returned to Richland, MO for burial. Delia Phoebe Wing, age 71, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away March 13, 2006. Visitation 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon lkff2 at Prescottt United Meth- hhotage odist Church in Prescott.

Services will be at 12:00 noon at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley Prescott, AZ. Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary. Kenneth Roy Yeagley, 75, of Mesa, AZ passed away Friday, March 10, 2006 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born June 5, 1930 in Lebanon, PA.

He retired as a Tech B8a Sergeant after 21 years of trmmm service in the Air Force and was also a retiree of zar Williams Air Force Base. TiA He is survived by his wife: VJ'K-iV Audrey V. Yeagley; one daughter: Evelyn Eilander of Layton, UT; Four sons: Kenneth of Laurel MD, Paul of Big Spring, TX, of Roy, UT and Keith of Riverdale, UT; stepdaughters: Diana Groves of Mesa, AZ, JoAnn Steinberg of Sewickley, PA and Lynn Chavez of Mesa, AZ; 23 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one brother: Richard of Myerstown, PA. EOoS mwB, gyrate mm Thomas Trevor Morgan, 77, of Peoria, passed away on March 12, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 27, 1928 in Elwood, Indiana and moved to AZ in 1955. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eileen, his daughters, Linda Aiken (Mike), Diane Jones (George), Julie Kutilek (Doug), 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his sister Ruth Snyder and brothers, David, John and Phillip. Helen Elizabeth Mumma, 86, of Youngtown, AZ died March 10, 2006. Mrs. Mumma was preceded in death by husband Otto Mumma; sisters Mary Kay Sahm, Margaret Ann Parkins; brother Joseph Sahm. She is survived by daughters Margaret Kline of Fayetteviile, GA, Kathleen O'Connor of Sun City, AZ, Mary Ann Corbin of Tucson, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Joachim and Anne Catholic Church at a later date. Carl J. Mowell Sons, Fayetteviile, Georgia. Jackie Reece rteeiy, age 59, born in LaRussell, MO on October 24, 1946 passed away March 9, 2006 at his home in Glendale with family WjtJJJ and friends at his side. He moved to Phoenix in 1968 after serving honora- bly in the Navy during the wMi'yy Vietnam War.

He started driving trucks in 1971 and retired from the Int'l Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 104 in 2001. He loved being outdoors, telling stories to his family and friends and especially hunting. He was a good husband, father and friend that was always there when you needed him. He touched us all, taught us all, loved us all and will forever be in our hearts. He is survived by his wife Lisa, sons, Anthony, Jon, James and Michael, daughters, Lisa, Jacqueline, Vanessa and Gabi, grandsons, Justin, Joshua, Nick, Dustin and Ryan, brother Jim and sister Katrina.

The memorial service will be held Friday, March 17, 2006 at 10:30 AM with the visitation starting at 9:30 AM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Av. Inurnment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Elbert (Ebbie) Haven Neese, 82, of Phoenix, Arizona and originally of Beioit, Wisconsin, died Friday morning March 10th, after wrestling near ly four months with pneumonia and congestive neart ranure and related complications. Born November 8, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois, Ebbie grew up in Beioit, Wisconsin where nis grandparents had settled in the 1850's.

Ebbie attended Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire and graduated from Purdue University in 1944 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Ebbie continued his education at the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University in 1968 and was awarded an honorary doctorate by Beioit College in 1992. He served briefly in the Army and was discharged as a Lieutenant JG in the na vy after serving for two years during World War II, building roads, airstrips, and hospitals in Okinawa. After college, Ebbie went to work for Beioit Corporation (then Beioit Iron Works), a business taken over by his grandfather in the 1880's that became the world's premier paper machinery manufacturing business. Ebbie began as shop clerk and mold-er's helper in the foundry as a teenager in the summers, joined fulltime as a draftsman in the engineering department after college, and rose over his 40 year career to President and then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer before the business was sold in 1986.

Ebbie also served on the Board of Directors for Regal Beioit Corporation, First National Bank and Trust Company of Beioit, and Beioit State Bank. In 1947 Ebbie married Margaret (Peggy) Eda Knorpp of Phoenix, Arizona, with whom he enjoyed more than 55 years of abiding love before Peggy's death in 2003. Ebbie and Peggy moved with their six children to Pennsylvania, Massachusetts. Oxshott, Surrey in the UK, and Bolton, Lancashire in the UK, before returning to Beioit, Wisconsin and, after retirement, Phoenix, Arizona. An active member of his community, he served as a member of Beioit City Council for a term in the late 50's.

Generous and civic-minded, Ebbie was a member of the Jaycees in Beioit, Wisconsin and was voted one of the Five Outstanding Young Men of Wisconsin in 1955. Among his many contributions, he served as Founder, President and Lifetime Honorary Director of United Givers in Beioit; a lifelong Rotarian, both in Beioit and in Phoenix; Trustee of Beioit College; Director and President of Beioit Foundation; and Founder of the Neese Foundation. He was inducted into the Junior Achievement of Rock River Valley Business Hall of Fame in 1993 and both he and Peggy were inducted into the Haskell Hafi of Fame at Beioit City Hall in 2002. An ardent Republican, Ebbie served as an Elector for Eisenhower in 1956 and campaigned for Goldwater in 1964. Ebbie was an extraordinary man a man of great intelligence, diligence, humor, kindness, dedication, love, generosity, and profound integrity; among his many talents, he taught his children to love doing math problems and practice multi-part harmony during long cross-country auto trips and entertained with ear-wiggling, eye-jiggling and reading Winnie the Pooh.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Laura Janvrin Aldrich and Elbert Haven Neese his wife Peggy, his sisters Betty and Laura, and his brother Lon. He leaves behind a large family: children Laura Malik, Mary-Jane Wagle, John Neese, Bob and Sue Neese. Margaret and Alfonso Brooks, and Walter and Brande Neese; 11 grandchildren and a grandson-in-faw; a great granddaughter with a brother or sister on the way; wife Peggy's sister Mary Jane Knorpp Begley; and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and their families. They and his many friends know how lucky they have been to have him in their lives and they miss him deeply. Private family cremation and interment will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix.

Main Mesa, Arizona. Vikki Turner Moore, born 1742 to Milton and Althea Turner in Santa Monica, CA. At a young ri- age she and her parents KJJ relocated to Arizona where they owned and op- Mf ssl('ER erated Turner's Hilltop Lodge in Greer. Winters were spent in Phoenix where Vikki attended Camelback High School and ASU. She was a member of the Western Saddle Club and rode with their Quadrille Team.

She lived in Marina Del Rey, CA for many years and worked for Vedder Management. When she relocated to Phoenix, a few years aga, she worked for Apex Media until she was diagnosed with cancer. She fought a courageous battle, but finally succumbed on March 9, 2006. She leaves no living relatives but many friends. Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary will handle the cremation.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Greer, AZ. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, AZ 85014. SI L. Lee (La Vonne) Schwartz Stockman passed away March 11, 2006.

She was born on Junei 27, 1938 in James town, North Dako-j ta. Lee is preceded in aeatn by ner pa rents Mabel Williams Schwartz and Frank William Schwartz. Lee is survived by daugh ters Lori Hahn of I Tulsa, OK and Cheryl Moreira of Coopersburg, PA; broth ers William Schwartz of Phoenix. AZ and Donald Schwartz of Ithaca, NY; grandchildren Burke Hahn, Teresa Hahn, Michelle Moreira, and Jason Moreira; sisters-in-law Lois Schwartz and Kathi Schwartz. Lee worked as a speech-language pathologist in North Dakota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Arizona.

She most recently worked in the Paradise Valley School District, Phoenix, AZ. Lee earned her B.S. degree in Speech Pathology from North Dakota State University, and her M.S. degree from Indiana State University. A memorial service will be held at Thursday, March 16, 2006 at La Casa De Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 E.

Valjean Strickland, 65, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away February 4, 2006. No services. Apache Junction Funeral Home handled arrangements. Gerald G. Thick, 64, of Clarkston, Ml and then Scottsdale, Arizona died Friday, March 10th after a couraaeous fight with "brain cancer.

He was born on March 29, 1941 in Pontiac. Michigan. He is sur vived by his wife Sue, daughter Tracy, son Greg and loving Grandfather of Zachary, Jessie and Max. Jerry was a won- ac-- derful man to be around with a great sense of hu- VP'SaiSV mor. He was always there to help a friend.

A semi pro football player in his earlier years, he sold magnets to the automotive industry in Detroit during his career. Retiring to Scottsdale in 1999, Jerry was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all of us who knew him as "Big May he rest in peace as he continues his journey watching over the rest of his family and friends. Hansen Mortuary Elaine Muriel Tutor, 70, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away March 4, 200b. tiaine is survived by her loving husband, Keith; daughters, I Kathleen Carson I and Barbara Lynn Stafford; brothers, George Gilsdorf Ann Mu Larry Gilsdorf, and i Albert (Marie) Gilsdorf; sisters, Louise Kelly (Bob de- ii ceased), Edna (Ralph) Modlin, and Barbara (John) Zapatka; grand son, Corey Olin; granddaughters, Shawna Stafford and JacLyn Stafford; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois. She was retired and had previously worked as a waitress at the Left Seat Restaurant at the Scottsdale Airpark from 1990 through 2000. Major Thomas More Quigley USMC (Ret). November 11, 1965 March 9, 2006), was born in Chicago Ill, and moved to Tucson as a toddler in 1969. Tom is survived by his loving wife Sylvia Reid, his precious son Christopher Jack, his parents retired Judge John M. Quigley and Esther Quigley, his sister May Colette Skowron (Steve), brothers John Michael, Jr. (Trudy), Dan (Ane Marie), Christopher, Patrick (Sherie), Kevin (Julie), 32 first cousins and a very large extended family including several aunts and uncles.

Tom was surrounded by his loving family when he departed this life to join his heavenly father following a valiant and heroic nine year battle with cancer. Tom was a proud graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School and the University of Arizona where he received his undergraduate degree in 1987. Having also been a member of the Naval ROTC program, he was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the United States Marine Corps in August, 1987. Promoted to 1st Lt.

in August 1989 Tom served his country during Desert Shield and in the combat zones of Desert Storm. Tom finished his Marine Corps career as a Major in the Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron. Following his medical retirement from the Marine Corps, Tom successfully pursued a civilian career in technology information, going back to school, receiving an MBA degree from the Univ. of Phoenix and serving the people of Pima County with distinction and respect as Information System, and Help Desk Manager through the end of 2005. With all these challenges, he still found time for fishing trips to the White Mountains with his several brothers, also bringing along little Christopher when school allowed.

Visitation will be held starting at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St.

1 -J i James Thomas Reid tttf L- Si James Thomas Reid, 45, of Phoenix passed away on March 11, 2006. Jim was born on April 6, 1960 in New York. He graduated from Brophy College Preparatory, Phoenix, in 1978 and from Loyola University of Chicago in 1982 where he majored in Business Administration. Jim began his business career with Oscar Meyer in Wisconsin before relocating to the Phoenix area. In 1986, he started a restaurant and catering business that was literally the "Talk of the Town." He then found the true passion of his business life, real estate investing.

He loved to travel, especially to his beloved Ireland. His passion for living life to its fullest will never be forgotten. Jim and his son Ryan were devoted fans of the Chicago Cubs and also shared a love of music, fishing, and scouting. Jim loved watching his daughter, Katie, play volleyball and was her number one fan. His enthusiastic support and exuberance were contagious to everyone.

Jim was very active in his parish of Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral. He is especially remembered for his fabulous cooking at the Fall Festival. Jim was known for his loving commitment to his family, his confidence and focused drive as well as for his mischievous sense of humor. Everyone who met Jim will remember his laughter, his stories, and his dimpled smile.

He is preceded in death by his son Ryan and his parents Joseph P. and Elizabeth H. Reid. He lives on through his devoted wife Ellen M. Reid, daughter Katie Reid, sisters Barbara Schimpf and Nancy McHorney, brothers Joseph B.

Reid and Christopher Reid, aunt and uncle James and Patricia McDonald, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. A visitation will be held p.m. on Tuesday, March 14 at the Brophy College Preparatory Chapel, 4701 N. Central Phoenix, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m.

on Wednesday, March 15, at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27 Phoenix. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Francis Cemetery.
